A birth chart, also known as a natal chart, is a map of the position of the planets at the exact moment you were born. • The Ascendant (or rising sign): This is the sign that was rising on the horizon at the exact time of birth. It is associated with the characteristics of that sign it is in, and has a significant influence on who you are. This sign interprets the way you interact with the world and how others perceive you. It is also used to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your life path.
• Sun Sign: This is the sign that the Sun was in at the time of your birth, and is considered the most important influence in your chart. It represents your basic personality traits and your sense of self.
• Moon Sign: This is the sign the Moon was in at the time of your birth, and it is associated with your emotions, feelings, and instincts. It is believed to shape a person’s inner self and can also give insight into their relationships.
• Planets: A birth chart contains information on the position of all the planets at the time of your birth. Each planet is associated with certain traits, and the position of each planet in your birth chart reveals a lot about that area of your life.
• Aspects: Aspects are the angles between two planets and reveal the relationship between them. The aspects between the planets in your chart can tell you a lot about your relationships, potentials, and challenges.
